Request for Presenter Proposals for the 2024 NASW-WA Statewide Conference.

Apply to be a Presenter at the 2024 NASW-WA Statewide Conference!

Lead the conversation and contribute to our field. The Call for Presenters is now open!

The NASW-WA Statewide Conference will be an in-person event encompassing 1.5 days of intensive learning and dialogue. Our presenters play a critical role in this conference by leading important conversations, inspiring dialogue, and sharing best practices.

The 2024 Annual Conference will be held in-person September 19-21, 2024 in Spokane, Washington, and will feature two-hour keynote presentations and 1.5-hour breakout session presentations. All presentations will be live; although we anticipate several will be recorded for future distribution to social workers, upon approval from the presenter.

The 2024 NASW-WA conference will explore the theme: "Building Connections for a Socially Just Future." We are interested in receiving proposals for advanced interventions that can be applied to rebuilding a sense of community after a time of disconnectedness and/or addressing issues pertaining to social justice. Each presentation does not need to be on these concepts specifically but should align with our theme in some facet. We are seeking a balance of presentations from social workers from various practice environments, settings, and subspecialties with application of knowledge and skills at the micro-, mezzo-, and macro-levels.

Presenting at this statewide conference will grant you extensive visibility and give you the opportunity to engage, actively participate, and establish yourself as a thought leader among your peers. Presenters chosen will receive a complimentary registration that includes free meals. In addition to earning continuing education credit from attending the conference, presenters will also have the opportunity to receive additional continuing education credit for developing and leading their presentations.

We seek new presentations, ideas, and innovations that have not yet been presented at social work conferences or in professional spaces. We will prioritize the selection of presentations that are interactive in nature and aim to include audience participation/engagement. We value contributions that encompass lived experience- either personally or professionally.  We especially encourage social workers to consider presenting but will accept proposals from other related fields as well.  Workshops should be designed with an intermediate to advanced level of professional social workers in mind.

Workshop proposals are assigned for continuing education credits in Washington state. Categories of CE’s are dependent on course content (i.e. ethics, health equity, etc.). The deadline for proposals is December 15, 2023. All submissions must come through our online submission process linked below. Limit of 3 proposal submissions per presenter.
