The Chapter’s Membership Engagement Committee (MEC) works to create engaging events for our members that allow social workers to collaborate, organize, and share resources. Beginning in 2021, the MEC developed Practice Area Networks (PANs) that focused on social justice, clinical practice, student-focused, and case management. In 2022, the MEC developed events focused on topics and hosted monthly meetings instead of a separate series for each practice area. Examples of events the Chapter hosted in 2022 include“Policy Conference Debrief,” Securing a Social Work Supervisor and Mentor,” “What Social Workers Need to Know About Licensure,” and “How to be a Social Worker and Take a Vacation.”
